This multi-phased project included a 5,165 SF Emergency Department addition and interior renovation on Level One of the Critical Care Tower. The scope included new CT rooms, a shared control room, and renovations to the waiting and registration areas. Construction occurred at the hospital’s main ED entrance and within an occupied facility. The project began during the COVID pandemic and required temporary patient flow modifications.
Rañon renovated an unused patient floor at St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital into a 10,100-square-foot Ronald McDonald House. The project converted former patient observation rooms into overnight accommodations and shared family spaces. Work was completed within an active hospital environment and required coordination with hospital operations. The facility opened in May 2025.
Rañon has worked with Moffitt Cancer Center for over 25 years on projects across its hospital and research facilities. This project is part of a multi-year, multi-phase refresh of inpatient floors at the Magnolia Campus. Rañon is currently completing the fourth phase of the overall program. Work includes close coordination with hospital staff and design partners in high-census patient areas.
This project consisted of a three-phase renovation and expansion of the main operating room suite at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Work included new operating rooms, support spaces, and mechanical upgrades. All phases were completed within an active surgical department. The project required detailed planning and coordination to maintain hospital operations throughout construction.
This work included mechanical system replacements and interior renovations across multiple areas at Moffitt Cancer Center. The scope covered air handling units serving patient towers and operating rooms, as well as renovations to patient waiting areas. All work was performed within occupied hospital spaces. Phased construction and infection control procedures were required to maintain operations.
